Unity Edit Mode Export Example

Translates Unity objects into external CAD file in Edit Mode.

Description

This example is based on the Unity Base Viewer Example scene.
To export Unity's GameObject into CAD file without launching Unity Play Mode, in Unity panel, go to CAD Exchanger -> Export to CAD file to open a new wizard tab:

  • Drag and drop your exporting object to the Game Object field.
  • Select the preferable export format in the Export Format box.
  • Click the Export button to open the standard Windows file explorer panel, choose the destination folder and the file name and click "Save".

After the export is done, the "Success" message should appear in the Unity console.
